you don't know jack
and we don’t either. but get to know us
Walking into Jack’s feels like going back in time. The space is narrow and intimate, with a long wood bar, across from curved leather booths. The lighting is low, the music is old school, and a vintage neon sign hangs outside. Located in the heart of downtown Bellingham, Jack’s feels like a neighborhood bar, serving classic cocktails, Northwest beers, and charming wines. You can find friends catching up after work, couples snuggled into a booth for a romantic moment, and groups getting together to celebrate birthdays.
Jack’s has outdoor covered seating that is cool in summer, and heated in winter. In addition, there is sidewalk seating that is dog friendly, for those who like to socialize with their canine companions.
Since it opened in 2018, Jack’s is consistently found on lists celebrating the ‘Best Bar in Bellingham’ and ‘Best Cocktail in Bellingham’ and ‘Best Bartender in Bellingham’. We are honored to be included amongst the high quality establishments with whom we share space on these lists.
A recent review sums it up:
Jack’s is the most urbane boîte in Bellingham. It would not be out of place in Paris near Rue Oberkampf or along the Canal St. Martin. Finding a cocktail lounge with this caché in Bellingham is mind boggling. Seattle tries with Roquette and maybe Rob Roy in Belltown, but there’s an air of pretentious freeze that comes naturally to Seattle. Jack’s has the panache without the affectation. Only The Tear Drop Lounge in Portland mirrors what Jack’s has, and The Tear Drop is world famous. How Bellingham, with less than 100,000 people, can have innovative restaurants, sultry cocktail lounges, world class art, public sculpture and a sophistication that few cities in the world has, is beyond me. Olivia was our mixologist concocting our drinks with the mind of a Jonas Salk and the creativity of Salvador Dali. Our drinks were fabulous. The concupiscent space is perfect for a date or a tryst, depending on your mood and age. Jack’s may be the consummate lounge, and it’s in Bellingham!
